Phoenix, AZ Mileage: 48,900 Winning Bid: TBD Posting info: This 1996 Pontiac Firebird SLP Firehawk coupe is #33 of approximately 46 Firehawks modified by SLP Engineering for the model year, a process which included the installation of functional hood scoops, a cold-air induction system, edition-specific 17″ wheels, Firehawk script on both doors and the left headlight panel, and a serialized dash plaque. The car is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, and it is finished in black over Graphite leather. Equipment includes removable glass roof panels, fog lights, a Hurst shifter, 17″ polished five-spoke cast aluminum wheels, air conditioning, power windows and locks, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a Pioneer stereo, JL Audio subwoofers, Rockford Fosgate amplifiers, and an SLP sport exhaust system with a MagnaFlow muffler and Borla exhaust finishers. This Firehawk is now offered with an SLP window sticker, a car cover, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name. The body is finished in black with Firehawk graphics and tinted windows. It features removable glass roof panels, fog lights, dual air induction hood scoops, a rear decklid spoiler, and pop-up headlights. Damage is noted in an April 2023 entry in the Carfax report. The 17″ polished five-spoke cast aluminum wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season tires. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners. Front and rear anti-sway bars have been added, and the car was optioned with Bilstein suspension components. The cabin features front sport seats and rear bucket seats upholstered in Graphite leather. Amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and locks, and a Pioneer stereo linked with JL Audio subwoofers and Rockford Fosgate amplifiers. A serialized plaque is mounted to the center console. The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 155-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 49k miles. Power is provided by a 5.7-liter SFI V8 that features a cold-air induction system installed by SLP Engineering and was factory rated at 315 horsepower and 342 lb-ft of torque. A stainless-steel sport exhaust system was also installed by SLP Engineering, and it has been altered with a MagnaFlow muffler and Borla exhaust tips. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner T-56 six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. An optional Hurst short-throw shifter was installed by SLP Engineering as part of the Firehawk conversion. |
