Ebay 2007.03.19 - Marshfield, Missouri, United States
You are bidding on perhaps one of the fastest Firebirds ever produced: The 1995 SLP Engineering Firehawk Firebird. Published times of 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds, 1/4 mile in 13.5 seconds at 103.5 mph, and top speed of 160 mph. The 1995 Firehawk is perhaps the best Firehawk and is devoid of extra body moldings/trim and has a very sleek, sleeper look to it, right down to the dual, single tip exhaust system. SLP Engineering was a direct source, aftermarket partner company to General Motors. In limited production numbers, Pontiac shipped Firebird Formulas to SLP's Garden State shop, and SLP turned these already hot Formulas into super high-performance cars.
This Firehawk is one of their highest optioned variant with 315 hp under the hood, 6-speed Hurst shifter, and is #0186 in the Firehawk Registry. Car started life as a base Formula with 6-speed transmission. Options include Option Group 1SC and Graphite leather seating. SLP options above their standard package included the optional sport exhaust and ad optional Hurst shifter. Total price out the door was a tad over $30,500.
I can think of nothing wrong on the car mechanically. It starts up immediately, runs through the rpm band with heart-pumping authority--this car defines modern muscle car. A/C blows ice cold, oil pressure is perfect, temperature perfect, gauges/electricals all work. The car has it's original brakes, clutch, and other appurtenances.
The graphite leather interior is beautiful in this vehicle and has been well maintained. The driver's left side bolster has wear in the area your butt hits each time you get into the driver's cockpit (picture included showing the extent of the wear). This is the only flaw with the leather. The carpet is perfect all around. Hurst shifter is beautiful with the big "H" and has quite a nice feel to it as you run through the six gears. Stereo system is nice with this option group and controls on the steering wheel.
A recent, window tinting job was done that really looks sharp. The 17" x 9" aluminum alloy Firehawk wheels have little powdercoat separation on the edges if you really look hard. The decals are perfect. The car gets a lot of attention and compliments. I recently had the car professionally buffed to bring back its luster.
Your bid is a contract. My reserve is very low. I do not want any trades. The car is available for show. It is advertised locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. I will not end the auction after my reserve has been made or exceeded. The reserve is very low for this car, but must sell. Winning bidder to pay $500 deposit at end of auction.
