Car Notes |
eBay July 2011
Midland , NC
Reduced to sell. The opening bid is now set at my bottom line.
LOW MILEAGE for a 1993 Firebird! Due to the abundance of tirekickers that this vehicle has generated locally I have decided to post it here on EBAY! Jump on this car as it won't last long! 1 of 201 made! 250 1993's were ordered, but they broke the hood mold on number 201. The rest of the buyers were forced to receive a less rare 1994.
This car has been extremely well maintained. This is made evident by the long list of new parts! I never planned on selling this car, so I made sure all my equipment was always in tip top shape! My loss is your gain. Here is a quick run-down of the new parts: Water-pump, thermostat, trans (@ 75,000 miles), brakes, brake booster, brake master-cylinder, tires, and opti-spark (Lt1-spark system OEM GM $1800!!!!).
This is A GREAT DEAL on a soon to be CLASSIC!
Its a 1993 Formula Firebird Firehawk. It has 97,000 miles on the engine (These lt1's are good 200,000+ mile V8's). The trans was rebuilt around 75,000 miles. I have installed an SLP fan control switch to manually turn on the fans on hot days to keep her from running up to temperature, however the stock fan functions are still retained. The fan switch kit was purchased the manufacturer of the Firehawk nameplate: SLP. This car has been garage kept since 1993 except for 2 years while I was in college. I am the second owner of the vehicle. Comes with new tires, new water pump, new spark system, FACTORY active RAM AIR system (not an upgrade! ORGIINAL EQUIPMENT), K&N air filter, A/C, Kenwood CD Player, 2 Sony Xplode speakers in front, and 2 JL Audio Speakers in the rear.
Interior is in excellent condition, but not perfect. No rips or tears in upholstery. Minor damage to the driver rocker panel when the car bottomed from having to avoid a deer on a back road, Minor scratches on bumpers, but they are not noticeable unless you are looking for them. This car is RUST FREE, and for the price she would make a great hot-rod or restoration project. She still turns heads going down the road so she'd do just fine if you want to drive her as she is.
Located in MIDLAND, NC 10 minutes outside Charlotte off I485
I have all FIREHAWK documentation including the letter from Ed Hamburger to the dealership from which this car was sold.
The ABS on this vehicle does not work due to a bad sensor. Mechanically there are NO problems, but if the purchaser wishes to have ABS they will need to install a new front driver side wheel speed sensor.

This is a 1993 Pontiac Firehawk. I am selling this car for my mother. She is the original owner of this car purchased new Aug. 16, 1993. It is car #91 of, I believe, only 201 built in 1993. This car is 99% original with only the tires & battery having been replaced. It was meticulously maintained by my father. This car is in excellent condition with only 59,000 miles. My mother bought this car when she was 40 years old and is a teacher's aide. Car has not been smoked in, never raced, never wrecked, and never worked on. Would make an excellent second car, not to mention a collector car. Everything on the car works. It has been in storage for the last 2 years and we recently lost our storage space. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS CAR? Tires are 70% used up, has a small curb rub on one of the wheels (See picture). The headliner has a small droop, and it may leak a quarter-size oil spot. Also, there are a very few rock chips in the paint. This car was used at a local Pontiac dealership for demonstration purposes and is in the same condition now. The car is located near Louisville, Kentucky. |
